Early/Unused Poster Concepts

After Heather O'Rourke died, MGM was unsure how to market the film. They considered several different versions of the theatrical poster, with and without Heather and using different taglines. Below are some of the early versions. Special thanks to Bryan Kreutz of St. Louis, Missouri for sending me these scans. He purchased the posters on Ebay around 1999/2000 from an artist who'd bought them from MGM.
